That experience and his programmatic approach led him to create a Product Composition Tool, which helps teams and businesses explore and document their product idea to properly document the needs of their users and product-market fit (PMF). The tool has enabled products to find clarity in the market, teams to create for their users, and growth.
In 2016 Qlik had an idea for a new product that would be an entirely new business, with a customer they’d not yet focused on. So they hired Will to define, develop, deliver and deploy their idea – the outcomes of which would be 20,000 users in the first year, two new products, and a strategy that is alive and thriving today in their Garden and Developer Portal.
Will has built, trained and mentored teams across industries – from Technical Products and Developers, to Marketing Agencies, Cannabis, Insurance, and the Music Industry. He’s a Mentor on Growth Mentor, maintains weekly service commitments in his local community, and is active in research for new technologies like Ai.
When Mojotone needed new direction for their Product Ops and web team, they hired Will. Their needs were many – Product Marketing, Brand Strategy, team development, and Demand Generation. Within a year Will trained, hired and developed the team, implemented new Product Operations and Brand Strategy that accounted for $2.9MM in new revenue and 7MM in new website impressions. Will’s leadership also led to industry partnerships with some of the biggest brands in the Music Industry like Guitar World, and a new program for Signature Artists.
His tactical precision, dedication to strong fundamentals, and service-of-others approach have led to some outrageous successes. But Will is most proud of the relationships he’s built personally and the very public Brand Partnerships that have resulted in his work.
You’ll see examples of this on LinkedIN, the agencies that he’s helped grow, the content he writes as an Executive Contributor for Brainz, and a litany of projects he’s worked on. Atomic Boxes is very much an amalgamation of those lived experience, unique approach, and application of programmatic principles.
That fact he started as a writer is probably the singular skill that’s enabled his growth henceforth, because of its appearance in all jobs, projects and roles. Though that’s to say nothing of the learned skills, techniques and tactics that he’s used to enablement across the spectrum.
